Exturded Activated Charcoal
What is activated charcoal?
Activated charcoal is an adsorbent of porous composition with different shapes and sizes of pores. Its higher pore volume creates a very large internal surface area, the total surface area of a spoonful of this material could cover a football field.
Active carbon can be produced from any organic matter with a carbon content of more than 50% and no more than 30% ash.
Examples of the most common raw materials today are: coal from the soil, bituminous coal, wood charcoal, sawdust, wood, peat, peel and fruit sludge, sludge, tires and more.
There are three physical forms of activated carbon:
-
Powdered activated charcoal - consists of particles smaller than 80mesh and is used mainly in liquid applications.
-
Granular activated charcoal - consists of asymmetric charcoal particles, relatively hard. Used for water and gas treatment and can usually be renewed for reuse.
-
Extruded activated carbon - symmetrical particles of coal in a spherical structure. Its structure is determined during production. This advantage allows the production of several types of coal suitable for a large number of applications, such as: air purification, water, gases and other liquids. Can be renewed for reuse.

Useful coal active:
Activated coal is used to purify a wide range of materials in many industries such as: water, food, mining, automotive, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and environmental related industries.
Activated coal is used to remove pollutants and odors from gas streams in industrial processes in refineries, power plants, incinerators, chemical plants, food and beverage companies and other manufacturers. It is particularly effective in industrial gas purification.
Workers in industry and those exposed to toxic gases can be protected through activated charcoal air filters, and these days the Corona epidemic has such special requirements.
There are also military applications, such as gas masks, tanks for tanks, etc.
There are many uses for activated carbon in the medical industry:
Coal anchors gases and other toxins in the digestive system, able to treat facial skin problems and more.
Examples of applications:
* Filters for devices like Tammy 4, Brita etc..
* Groundwater treatment, swimming pools and aquariums
* Soil recovery, purification of gases emitted from chimneys
* Air purification and odor prevention
* Treatment of gastric upset
* Cleansing toxins from the body
* Teeth Whitening (Natural)
* Natural makeup component
* Mold cleaning
